About Luke

Luke is a highly specialised physiotherapist with over 19 years of clinical experience in the assessment and treatment of a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. He qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2007, became a musculoskeletal sonographer in 2016 and completed a Master’s degree in Health Science in 2021. He has extensive experience working across both the NHS and private healthcare sectors.

Luke is a qualified musculoskeletal sonographer and teaches diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound and ultrasound-guided injection therapy with the Sports Medicine Ultrasound Group, helping to educate healthcare professionals in advanced musculoskeletal imaging and interventional techniques. Luke sits on the Executive Committee of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Orthopaedic Medicine and Injection Therapy (ACPOMIT) and is an Independent Prescriber, allowing him to prescribe medications required for injection therapy where clinically appropriate.

He has co-authored national musculoskeletal ultrasound guidelines, published peer-reviewed research exploring patients’ experiences of ultrasound-guided injections, and regularly lectures on diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound and ultrasound-guided interventions. His academic and educational work reflects a strong commitment to advancing evidence-based practice and improving patient care within musculoskeletal medicine.

With his in-depth knowledge of musculoskeletal healthcare, Luke is able to accurately diagnose even the most complex musculoskeletal conditions using a combination of expert clinical assessment and high-resolution diagnostic ultrasound imaging. His specialist expertise allows him to provide targeted treatment plans, including ultrasound-guided injection therapy where appropriate, to help patients achieve the best possible outcomes.

Luke has a passion for musculoskeletal medicine, diagnostic ultrasound and interventional procedures. He is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and the Society and College of Radiographers (SCoR)
